In June, I spent twelve days abroad in three European cities: Paris, Cologne, and Amsterdam. Traveling is a passion of mine and it goes hand in hand with photography. I get so inspired when I am in a new place experiencing different cultures, languages, food, etc. that its really hard for me to put my camera down! I apologize for the length of this post; it was so hard to narrow down which photos to share. During my trip I took over 160k steps and shot over 4k pictures.
I flew into Paris from Toronto. It was literally 100 degrees out for the first two days I was there. Luckily, my tiny Airbnb had AC! There is so much to do and see in Paris. I managed to get to the Louvre, d’Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens among many more.
Using the trains to get around was amazing. Such a better experience than flying! Cologne was an interesting city. A lot of it was destroyed during WWII so some streets were beautiful and others not so much… A couple highlights were the Cologne Cathedral and the Ludwig Museum.
Amsterdam was by far my favorite. The canals running through the city were so beautiful and there was so much to do! I went to the Van Gogh museum, a Banksy + Dali exhibition, a cheese tasting, and botanical gardens to mention just a few. Also, I thought the food in Amsterdam was significantly better than the previous cities.
