My assistant, Ryan, and I had a blast ringing in the new year with Bernice and Drew. We started the day at INN Buffalo. This is where Bernice and Drew got ready, did their first look, and had their family hanging out before the ceremony. Even though it was only 6 degrees out, we were able to do a quick portrait session right outside the Inn on Lafayette. It was lightly snowing out which really added some magic!
Bernice and Drew’s wedding was a celebration of their love for each other (obv) but it was also a celebration of all things Buffalo! They had five different pizza companies deliver their classics throughout the night, a custom IPA made just for them by Community Beer Works called “Buffalo is for Lovers,” and they somehow coordinated with the Buffalo Bills to make the playoffs! We got the news about the Bills right after the ceremony – needless to say the shout song was played more than once!
This wedding was definitely one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. They really made it their own day; they did exactly what they wanted to do and I find that so beautiful.
