Personal: Downtown Buffalo Snow

I can get so wrapped up in taking pictures for other people that I forgot to step back and take pictures for myself every once and a while! I did exactly that last week when I couldn’t fall asleep around midnight – I decided to go explore downtown as the snow was falling. I started out by City Hall then made my way to Fountain Plaza, Allentown, Canalside, and finally the Old First Ward area. It was such peaceful night: no one was around and I felt like I had the City of Buffalo to myself! As I was trudging through the snow, I was able to reflect on how much our city has changed and progressed over the past 5 years. Seeing lights on inside Seneca One Tower got me especially excited for the future of our rust belt town!

It’s amazing how refreshed I felt the next day after creating for the sole purpose of creating. I need to remind myself to do this more often because our city is so beautiful and there is so much magic to be captured!
